Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions of Service apply to all products and services provided by Alexis Veille and in the event of any dispute are governed by the laws of France.

1. Service

The service refers to everything explicitly listed in the "Service description" field of the contract. Consequently, it doesn't refer to everything that's not listed in the same field. No projects promoting hate speech, apology for terrorism, of a sexist nature and generally every form of speech likely to lead to discriminatory acts, will be considered.

2. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise with the Client, all design services require an advance payment of a minimum of fifty (50) percent of the project quotation total before the work commences or is supplied to the Client for review.

Unless both parts agreed on a time extension and specified on the invoice, the payment will be made at the latest on the 30th day following the invoice (France legislation: C. Com. art. L. 441-6, al.2 modifié de la loi du 15 mai 2001). Any delay could lead to due delay penalties, at a 10% rate of the invoice sum by month late, and a standard payment rate of €40.

3. Property rights

Copyright is retained by Alexis Veille on all design work including words, pictures, ideas, visuals and illustrations unless specifically released in writing and after all costs have been settled. If a choice of designs is presented and one is chosen for the Client's project, only that solution is deemed to be given by the Service provider as fulfilling the contract. All other designs remain the property of Alexis Veille, unless specifically agreed in writing.

Any replication without the beneficiaries' consent is illicit and forbidden by laws against counterfeiting. The same applies to translation, adaptation or transformation, agencement or copy by an art form or any other method.

4. Source files

Alexis Veille wille provide PDF files as appropriate for printing, or other graphic files as detailed in the request. Charges for design work do not cover the release of our copyright design source files, including but not restricted to InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator files or other source files or raw code; if the Client requires these files for transfer to an in-house or other designer, they will be subject to a separate quotation or ‘buy-out’ charge.

6. Credits

The Client agrees to allow Alexis Veille to place a small credit on printed material exhibition displays, advertisements and/or a link to Alexis Veille own website on the customer’s website. This will usually be in the form of a small logo or line of text placed towards the bottom of the page.
The customer also agrees to allow Alexis Veille to place websites and other designs, along with a link to the client’s site on Alexis Veille's own website for demonstration purposes and to use any designs in its own publicity and portfolios.

7. Content

The Client assumes full and entire responsibility for the choices made with regard to textual and iconographic content appearing in the production delivered by Alexis Veille, as well as for the use which will be made of it, and in particular its compliance with the regulations in force. It also claims to be the owner of the rights necessary for the exploitation of all the textual and iconographic creative elements supplied by it to Alexis Veille within the framework of its mission, and guarantees Alexis Veille against any third-party complaint relating to the violation of the rights of these elements .

8. Delivery

Once the textual and iconographic creative elements necessary for the mission are provided by The Client, a 50% deposit appearing on the invoice will be requested by Alexis Veille. The Service Provider will deliver a project proposal with its name watermark before validation. This watermark will be removed and a high definition version, in the format desired by the Customer and under the conditions of paragraph 5, will be sent to the Customer after the latter has paid the full invoice. The Service Provider will however be credited to the document.
